Willy Wonka was five when his Dad brought an evil oompaloompa home to the chocolate factory. The evil oompaloompa ate three chocolate bars, ten bags of jelly beans and five gumdrops. The next day, the Wicked Witch of the West visited the chocolate factory and ate twenty cotton candies, four gobstoppers and two jawbreakers. The evil oompaloompas and the wicked witch of the west meet up. Who ate more? What is the total amount of candy they ate?
The previous texts are called Math Tales. These are short stories with a problem to solve. What I suggest you to do is to write a funny math story with a simple problem to solve. Use negative numbers and negative situations (ex. Temperatures below zero, loans, money, debts, lifts…). Work in pairs. Include your names and stories as a comment, and, of course, solve your problem!
