Congratulations!, you have done a good job in corporal expression classes. Here are your final jobs: WORK 1 WORK 2 WORK 3 WORK 4
All of you have done a great work and it has been very difficult to choose which stories should reach the final.
Here you have the six which have got it. Now you should vote which one will be the winner. You can listen to each story here:
The mystery of the haunted crypt
The horrible Charlie's birthday
The robbery in River Palm
Where are our suitcases?
Luck for everybody!!!
Do you remember this poem?
On St. Valentine’s day you showed yourselves to be very good poets. Tomorrow March 21st is the World Poetry Day, and I have thought you could write another poem to celebrate it, perhaps an acrostic. Don’t you know what it is? I leave you an example.
My dear pupils
Are reading this
Good week for everybody
Dublin is waiting
Ana Esther and me
And as I won’t be at the high school this week, I would like to read them here, while we are in Dublin.
Have a good week!
As you know, today we celebrate Saint Patrick's Day!!!
Happy Saint Patrick's Day to everybody!!
(Specially from Magda and Ana Esther, who will be in Ireland next week...)

HAVE A NICE WEEK AND BEHAVE WELL!!!
Pi Day is a date commemorating the mathematical constant π (pi). Pi Day is celebrated on march 14 (or 3/14 in month/day date format), since 3, 1 and 4 are the three most significant digits of π in the decimal form.
You can even find songs speaking about this magic number. Have you ever heard the theme by Don McLean "American Pie"? Here you have one version, considering that this "PIE" is homophone to our "PI". Listen to it and tell me in your comments...
Hi, dear students! Here you can see the evaluation rubric of the medieval tale you are preparing. (Click on it to enlarge) Take each item into account when you are writing your stories. Everyone is important!
As you know, we expect to make a Book of Mediaeval Tales and Legends which will be on display in the Library for Book Day (23rd April), so it is necessary for you to write the stories in the same format. Please, use Arial 12 and simple spacing, will you? When your stories are ready, send them to this e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org before Friday 1st April.
Remember, the most original and well written stories will be hung on the blog!

GOOD WORK, MY DEAR STUDENTS!!!
Here, we are going to study the mathematical goals. Did you know that there have been lots of women studying Maths since former times?
The main figures are Teano, Hypatia, Maria Agnesi, Sophie Germain, Ada Lovelace, Emmy Noether, Sofia Kovalevskaia and many others. If you want to find out more information click on the photograph. They had to face many difficulties and restrictions because of their gender. You will discover that we can do anything we want to!
Shrove Tuesday is the day before Lent starts: the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. It's a day of penitence, to clean the soul, and a day of celebration as the last chance to feast before Lent begins.
Shrove Tuesday is sometimes called Pancake Day after the fried batter recipe traditionally eaten on this day.
But there's more to Shrove Tuesday than pigging out on pancakes or taking part in a public pancake race. The pancakes themselves are part of an ancient custom with deeply religious roots.
If you want to discover more about Shrove Tuesday, please click here.
I,d like to tell you that I´m very happy working with you. In general you are so active (I would say that tooooooooo much on Mondays – we´ll talk about it in next class) and in general you usually participate a lot, which is great! You are improving your physical abilities and knowledge; your comprehension level in English and most of you have also improved your ability to communicate in English. Congratulations!!!!!!!
As I told you in class here you have the power point regarding tobacco. It´s very interesting, and at the end of it you will have de index for the investigative work that you have to do this term. Remember you can do it in groups. Download here.
Click here and you'll find some of the mistakes you made in the last exam. Take a look at them and try to identify them by using the abbreviations you are already familiar with. I remind you what they stand for:
W W: wrong word
W O: word order
As usual, Ana Esther is attending our music class on Monday 7th March. She is going to help us correct the mistakes.
